Hi! It’s Rachel again. I recently volunteered backstage at Lingerie Fashion Week, where I had the pleasure of meeting Anaïs Bouchard, designer of Naïs Lingerie. She is the epitome of a young French woman making waves in the Big Apple. After studying lingerie design in Paris, Anaïs moved to Miami to pursue a job with an established lingerie brand. Though Miami was a fun break from busy Parisian life, she still had her sights set on developing her own brand in New York. Just a few years later, Anaïs lives in Brooklyn, and has a thriving lingerie brand that we are proud to carry at Lille. New York itself is an important influence on Anaïs’ business concept. Her designs are endlessly inspired by city life and the young, independent female urbanites like herself who live there. Production of her line takes place locally, and she uses “Made in USA” trims, hardware, and fabric whenever possible. With the exception of a part-time salesperson, Naïs Lingerie is a one woman operation. Anaïs drafts all of her patterns, sews samples, designs unique prints, and dyes fabrics to suit her focused color palettes. Read my interview with her to learn more about this blossoming lingerie brand.
