We are so pleased to announce our most exciting fashion event of the year! The incredibly talented Feng-Feng Yeh (pronounced Fun Fun Yay) will be debuting her new Savant Spring Lingerie collection here in Portland at a fashion show presented by yours truly. For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Savant, prepare to fall in love with her avant-garde, high-fashion styles and original design voice. Feng-Feng moved to New York in 2002 from Tucson, Arizona, to study fashion design at FIT and spent a year in Florence at the Polimoda Institute, the top fashion design school in Italy. Yeh worked as an intern at Calvin Klein and, upon graduation, worked briefly for designer Narciso Rodriguez. It was friend and mentor Benjamin Cho who encouraged her to nurture and pursue her design ambitions, and we are so happy that she did. Her work designing weekly costumes as part of the infamous downtown NYC party, Six Six Sick, inspired the creation of Savant in 2008. Her NY Fashion Week debut of the Spring 2009 collection garnered rave reviews, and the brand became known for “jaw-dropping womenswear” to in-the-know fashion mavens. This is one event you won’t want to miss! Come to the fashion show on Friday, November 5th at Holocene to scope out the styles you simply must have for your Spring wardrobe, then meet Feng-Feng at Lille the next day during the trunk show from 12-6pm. See you there!
