Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: Part III

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: Part III

Less than a week to go! So we’ve covered elegant lingerie, which abounds at Lille, and sassy but affordable sets, which are also plentiful, but there are still more options. A nice way to show her you care is to offer her the gift of time. A beautifully packaged, organic bath and body set says, “It’s ok to spend two hours pampering yourself in the tub, sweetie. I’ll deal with the dishes.” I am so pleased to report that we are expecting a huge shipment from the incredible Red Flower line, created by Yael Alkalay, a cultural anthropologist and herbalist who has spent time in Japan studying the Onsen bathing ritual. You will love the slow-burning petal-topped candles and organic, biodegradable, sustainable, paraben-free bath products in scents like Japanese Peony and Indian Jasmine. There is even a line of certified organic perfumes that interact with the body’s natural oils (unlike synthetic fragrances, which smell identical on each person.) A lovely compliment to this already attractive package is their Lavender Flower Tea, which may be seductive enough to pry me away from my beloved Harney & Sons Paris blend. Toss in a box of assorted gourmet chocolates from Xocolatl de David, and you’ve got one seriously decadent gift basket.
