Spring 2008 Bridal Lingerie Guide

Spring 2008 Bridal Lingerie Guide

Here’s a helpful guide to the newest, loveliest bridal lingerie from the Spring ’08 collections:

Princesse Tam Tam Guepiere

Princesse Tam Tam Guepiere: This cotton/silk blend bustier with attached garter straps is perfect if you need a little bit of structure under your gown. Unlike so many synthetic merrywidows, it is soft and supple, and the flexible boning provides just the right amount of support without digging into your ribcage. Pairs well with the Vintage Silk Crocheted Stockings and Georgette Bikini, pictured above.

Araks Lily Teddy: For the unconventional bride, a vintage-inspired teddy that hugs your curves in all the right places might do the trick. The sheer cotton crepe in white is supremely virginal, but the shape couldn’t be sexier!

Stella McCartney Grace Waking Bra and Boyshort: Romantics at heart will fall in love with this silk/lace set that I’ve blogged about extensively.

Dessous Alice Cami: The most versatile cami for layering, it is not only a perfect option for the casual bride on her wedding night, but will translate well into the honeymoon wardrobe.

Vera Wang Silk Chiffon Cami and Tap Pant: This sheer and sexy set has a bit of stretch to allow for comfortable sleeping. The Ivory is very quintessentially bridal, but I’m partial to the Dove Grey color.

Bodas Cotton Mousseline Chemise: This sweet little cotton chemise is the perfect summer nightie, and definitely fits the bill for an innocent look, though the sheerness makes it much more interesting.

Araks Justina Gown: Silk and cotton blend harmoniously on this elegant chemise by Araks. Fans of the incredible Ivana/Karin/Petra set will recognize the shape of the bodice, which fits like a dream.
